I’ve got three books coming out before summer’s over and I think we’re going to do videos for all three.

I actually want to buy the book more after seeing the videos; not because it’ll apply to me, but it’ll sure help my clients.

I like the video idea to promote a book, especially when it gives the reader a better idea of who the author is and where the ideas come from. These videos are well produced and hit the target audience, but they don’t necessarily make me want to buy the book. I just made a video about how I wrote my book and have found that most sales have come as a result of people feeling a connection to me after watching it. I think Dilbert already proved the market … so it’s a safe bet, especially for the “are you with” approach.

While it’s cool these are focused on the problem side, I’d like more glimpse into the solution side — with a crisp differentiation or “ah-ha.”
